Me: Eric Keller

Hi and welcome to my Blog. This is a hastily compiled record of my digital art and computer graphics experiments. I am a freelance CG artist living and working in Hollywood CA. I have written several books on Maya and ZBrush. Below my blog you'll find links to the books and tutorials I have authored and co-authored. I also occasionally teach at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood.I named my blog "Bloopatone" in honor of my first dog "Blue". She passed away a few years ago and I still miss her even though she was very grouchy and liked to bite me!

I'm proud to be an instructor at The Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood. Take a look at the work of our students and instructors on the Gnomon School Blog and the Gnomon Workshop Blog

  1. Hello! My name is Josh Cotton. You don't know me, but I watched the Gnomon insect anatomy seminar and was very impressed by your work and passion. I was especially inspired by how you talked about your career going back and forth between science and entertainment. I recently graduated from a concept art school, and my goal is exactly that—to go back and forth between science and entertainment. I apologize to ask this on your blog, as I was unable to find an e-mail address to ask you, but I will be visiting LA next week looking for work opportunities and networking. I would love to meet you and gain some career wisdom, and perhaps take you to lunch for the trouble. I can be contacted at:

    thedoodlingdino@gmail.com

If you are interested, my work (both for science and entertainment ) can be found at: http://www.joshcotton.com

Again, my apologies for the breach of etiquette in posting here; this would be more appropriate to an e-mail. I do hope to hear from you though; feel free to delete the post after responding, whether it be yea or nay.

    Many thanks,
    Josh Cotton
